Why no Bulmers cider in Thailand

While we have many drinks, spirits from the west here in Thailand I am surprised why we have never seen any cider for sale, anyone know why?

Magners and Bulmers are the same product, Magners is available in many English/Irish pubs in Thailand.

Villa Market (at least here in Phuket) carry cider (think it's Strongbow or something similar).

There is actually locally produced cider available here as well, though have never tried it (only use cider in cooking).

I was based at HMS Seahawk in mid to late '81 and they brewed this stuff in a pub in Helston that was just wicked. After the second pint you could only point at your glass for a refill as you couldn't speak and by the end of the third you couldn't even remember your name!

For good health it's best to avoid anything with artificial sweeteners in , and these days cider is loaded with the stuff due to it been cheaper than sugar .

A pub near me in Kent used to sell a cider called Hedge Trimmer.
No half pints only schooner sized glasses, it was that strong.
I asked the landlord why it was called Hedge Trimmer.
He said "You try driving home after three glasses"

HM looks like the reason I have missed it is because it is only available in some pubs, places I never visit these days. never seen it sold in any super markets though.

Mass produced cider uses concentrate and shouldn't be confused with the producers using real apples. Not sure the latter is available in LOS? On saying that, a cold cider poured over ice is very refreshing and better than much of the gnats piss that passes for beer in Thailand.

Was sat at the bar at my local last night watching the footy when a lad (You know the type, tatts all over and more hair product than his mrs) thought he'd be cool and order the exotic beer and asked for two Bulmers. You should have seen his outrage when upon his first sip he's realised its cider. The perky lass behind the bar couldn't stop laughing and I nearly fell off my chair when he demanded a refund.

When I worked for the Beeb in Evesham there was a pub in a place called Elmney Castle, it was called The Plough.
They used to make their own cider.... 4 pints max!!!!!!!!!!
Walk 11 miles home after 5.... didn't remember doing it.

Why would you want to open your legs? And in a Mini too?

Any TD member that's like cider who lives or spends time in the UK should visit, Middle farm | cider & perry. Have mentioned it before we live 5 minute drive form there, Buddha must listen to my request sometimes well worth a look if someone is driving you.
