The night market has all the usual Thai nick-nacks.

We were getting hungry while walking around and decided to eat. Where does this fresh seafood come from?

Corn on the cob did not sound good.

Here we go, fresh deep fried bugs.

    Anyone hungry?

Now that we have eaten let's go shopping. Most people have seen these kind of pencils for sale.

Problem is the lead is a little short. Here you can see where the Thais actually color the end.

Some of the hilltribe people peddling their wares. More on them later when we visit the villages.

Decided to visit the Night Pavilion.

Bought me some new shoes. I don't mind spending money while on vacation.

A CM police volunteer. He didn't really want to have his picture taken so I was in a bit of a rush.

After the usual Thai style American breakfast, the next day started like this. A dead battery.

So everyone pitched in to help push start the van. Well, almost everyone, someone had to capture the moment.

A new battery for B2000 and we were on our way.

Next stop was the Huai Nam Dang National Forest to see some hot water geysers.

We threw a fit and got in by showing our Thai driving IDs. Cost us B20 instead of B400.

Before leaving Chiang mai we decided to explore the area. The kids voted for the Monkey Center. I wanted to go go-kart racing but the prices were crazy, so here we go...

    The primates were everywhere.

    Not worth going to.

On the way to our next accomodation we happen to stop by a local strawberry wine moonshine operation.

This is where the strawberries are grown right behind the stalls.

The locals were friendly and the wine was cheap. About B120 per bottle.
