    Crazyswede has died

    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to inform you that Teakdoor forum member Crazyswede has died in a motorbike crash last Sunday evening around 6 o'clock. He was driving home on his Harley from Buriram back to Chomphra (Surin province) when a car came from the left and pushed him onto the other lane where a car coming from the other direction hit him. The rest is too cruel to tell.

He is leaving his pregnant wife behind, the funeral will be today.

I note that he was on-line 5 days ago but has not posted since 2010.

Anyway, such sad news to wake up to and please pass on my condolences to his family and friends.

Sorry to hear of his untimely demise. What a terrible thing to happen just before his new baby is born.

Rather depends, i have been riding & racing since 1965, I'm still here.
On a MC substantially more risk for the unskilled, on the week end we attended the funeral for a neighborhood girl, dead at 14.

It's not just about the unskilled or inexperienced though is it? It's more about the lack of commonsense, awareness and vision of car drivers.

I've been riding for years, but not in Thailand other than rentals. My 3 month old daughter changed my mind on buying a bike. I'll stick to mountain bikes in the sticks!

Consider yourself lucky Peter, there are a lot of unskilled drivers on those Thai roads fuelled with M150 that could wipe you out in an instant.
Every lane is an overtaking lane in Thailand, the biggest vehicle has priority, cnuts driving the wrong way up the hard shoulder, Career truckers, minivans, buses all driving fatigued and doing 6 days straight and long hours and the same boring journey. Buses stopping on motorways to let p[assengers on and off. I could go on and on

    RIP.

Condolences to his widow and unborn child, that's really tough, I hope he had his financial affairs in order. (Many don't in Asia and don't fully appreciate the mess that gets left behind).
