    TrueMove-H mobile phone packages

In the past before I moved to my new current location , I used a Pre Paid Dtac GSM sim card package , 5 ฿ for the first minuet and 30 satang for every minuet after and the sim validation period could be extended for up to a year in front for a few Baht .

My old Dtac sim card can only receive a poor reception signal where I now live , so I borrowed a neighbours TrueMove-H 3G sim card and tried it in my mobile phone , and it shows a full signal when my phone is set to receive a 3G ( WCDMA ) signal , but when I set the phone to receive only a GSM signal, the phone shows a very poor signal.

I then borrowed my girlfriends AIS ( One2Call ) sim card , and that too could only receive a poor signal, so I have had a look at the TrueMove-H web site , and trying to navigate through its maze of information, feels a bit like having your one remaining tooth forcibly pulled from your mouth . I have been trying to find the best TrueMove-H 3G Pre Paid voice package currently available.

I don't really need to use my phone for 3G internet connection, but going on the above , the best signal I can now receive , is the TrueMove-H 3G option.

Is any one here using a TrueMove-H 3G voice package and can share your views or point me in the right direction .

I'm looking to change to the 3gh thing. You're right it's better for sure. I've tested it on a few phones.

My mates use it. It's better than my AIS 3G.

I do really like the fact that I've been on AIS for so long that they send me a birthday and Christmas present. It really pisses the wife off so I'm afraid to change.

(And they call me to wish me many happy returns. Nice touch.)

If you have a good True 3G signal it will display H+ on your handset, as you go further away you will get just H, then 3G, then E which is Edge packet data and not 3G.

    Hope that makes sense

Good info - do you know what the noted speed differences between "H+", and "H" are? (I know "3G", Edge, and GPRS).

Yeah, good idea - 4G should be just about ready in Thailand sometimes in 2026 AD.

    ... and that's being optimistic.

Thanks Dillinger for the speed specs - and in what areas is this mystical "+" coverage accessible, then? I assume it should be reachable on the iPad 3, and all I get is TRUE-H around town. Haven't seen "+" yet.

I've had it around Paradise Park and On Nut, on a Galaxy Tab.

If you live here and are part of the trial, you can enjoy 4G in Thailand. Otherwise wait.
