I also found the video on some other blogs, with some nice people leaving kind messages behind

We don't get to see the places where the Iraqui people live. This armored truck went down the street in front of modest homes and with people going about their business. The Americans on the truck were having a fine time teasing the little boys (they looked about nine or ten years old) with bottles of clean water. Since we blew up the Iraqui water system clean water is really in short supply. We won't even sell the Iraquis the parts to repair the damage done by our 'Shock and Awe'. Those boys will grow up and they won't forget our kindness.
We really should expect that we will be on the receiving end of such 'kindness'in the future.

So, is it "hearts & minds" or "scorched earth" policy?
The 2 don't seem to go very well together.

This incident was widely reported in the British media (both print and broadcast) and the RMP are conducting an investigation.

First you claimed the Brit media is censored, so you wouldn't get to see this news at all, then you said BBC is available every day in the States, now you question whether I think it's the whole truth.

If it's 'BBC World' it's a very pale imitation of the UK version of the BBC and is something they ought to be ashamed of. You can listen to serious BBC Radio (Radio 4) at the BBC website.

So true. I've even sent emails complaining about the quality of the reporting. But nothing has changed. I think they send both their "has been" and "newbie" staff to BBC World and, if they do a good job, they get to go to the real BBC.

I tend to watch CNN more, but that has its problems too. Richard Quest has turned out to be an immature joke, but still they employ him. Unbelieveable.

I like BBC World. What's wrong with it ? not as good as it was 3 or 4 years ago, but still OK. Still beats CNN.

Yeah, some days I like CNN, other days it's BBC World. They both have their "decent" reporters/newsreaders and both have crap ones. What really used to piss me off was when CNN had Richard Quest reading the news , so I'd turn over to BBC World and they'd have Lyce Doucet! God! I hate that woman.
