    Sporting Shock of the Day

    Vettel didn't get pole.

Hamilton will probably get BBC Sports Personality of the Year for that.

What was shocking about that? That's four wins in a row for France over Wales. And motorcycling is more exciting on the streets of Bangkok.

In fairness it comes too late to make F1 even remotely interesting.

Added: It too all of 4 turns for Vettel to cream past Hamilton and start sailing off into the distance - again.

    *Yawn*

And even bigger: Arsenal won again! I'm sure Stoke will cut them down to size.

Sport Shocker of the Day for 20 October 2011

No EPL highlights during the six o'clock news sport segment. Imagine that, no coverage of wendyball metrosexual mincers flailing about the paddock. It won't last though as it is required by law (it has to be, there is no other explanation) that New Zealanders must endure nightly recaps of the so-called action of English Premier League. I blame it on the high number of British immigrants who bring their filthy football habits to these fair shores.

    pues, estamos aqui

What the feck has happened to the WRC these days. Used to be exciting.

The only good thing is seeing how shit Ken Block is.

What a good thread this is turning out to be.

Stoke beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 3 v 0 on Thursday night to top their Euro League.

^ a good win that; first FA cup final, now Uefa/Europa final beckoning - what a glorious time to be a Stoke fan, but hard as it is to believe, maybe this 3-0 result shouldn't be in the "shock of the day" section...

^ they'll get demoted; you watch EN go into meltdown.

Looks like the Aussie cricketers will be losing again, either late today or early tomorrow; not appropriate material for this thread however...

I woke up really early this morning and couldn't get back to sleep.

Fortunately, the MLS "final" was on, that sent me back into the land of ZZZZZZZZZZZs.

What is "Major" about football in America? Do they have a world series too; between LA south and LA north?
