Here we have the massage lady hanging out with the life savers, so laid back there going backwards.
This is my friend Kutut, she was born at Uluwatu, she has met all the worlds famous surfers and reels them off one after the other. Lovely lady, her gig is the go to lady when one wants anything.
Great pics, Terry. I love this type of thread, just honest and straightforward. I'd love to return to Bali for all the reasons that you've mentioned, and I'd love for my husband to go there to experience it.
I was getting the munchies as it was lunch time so Ketut bought this for me. Bloody good is was, a nice plate of veg and chicken soup.
Nice pics there Terry. must a been a heck of a climb up the cliffs to get the pic in post #21.
Ok, Ive just had a nice feed so its time to climb back up the stairs, grab my bike and head off back to Kuta. Passed this Super women on the way, they put there men to shame.
On the ride back you pass another famous surf break called Padang Padang. Lovely beach which few tourists venture. The surfers have the pick of the best and most secluded breaks and beaches on the Island.
Next morning I'm up early and on the beach to join the locals in the morning walk, Bloody awesome early in the morning.
How do prices compare between Kuta and Koh Samui?
The locals are well into there fitness and one will encounter all ages walking this beach.
There are always a few local fisherman trying there luck in the morning.
This guys having a crack with his hand line. Dudes got a heap of line out.
The Balinese have adopted names of famous Australians over the years and its always good for a laugh. Brings them business at Beer O clock. 5.00 PM.
Here comes the beach cleaning team. This group of men and women cover the whole stretch of beach every morning 7 days a week.
This group of people get the job done.
What's all this exercising, walking, cleaning beaches, being outdoors? What's wrong with these pee-pun?????? Just kidding! A very nice change from Thailand. I really miss it (Bali, that is).
PS I love the Coca Cola sponsorship on the tractor.
Beer and street food much the same and accommodation comparable for the different levels of accommodation.
The difference being the vibe and feel of the place, major difference is Bali has no visual bar scene so you don't get the mongers sleazing around the place which means all those problems that are present because of that scene you don't get in Bali.
A major reason I like Bali.
One of the cleaning team.
I always rent a bike so I can get around the Island and also bring my own helmet from home. The traffic is nuts in Bali. The bikes around $ 5 per day.
The ugly side of development. This photo was taken on my way to the mountains, all the shit dumped in to the Forrest.
Dog taking a shit maybe?
This day I ended up at this place high in the mountains, I just wander around mostly as I always end up in unexpected places. Keep things interesting.
Cracking fresh strawberries up here, cost bugger all. This area was growing some great veggies because of the temperate climate and supplied many restaurants on the island with fresh produce.
Some nice flowers up here also.
