    Legend resurfaces......in Sheffield

Just watched a great short news story on the BBC.
Duane Eddy is performing again and recording a new album ..in Sheffield UK.
I loved his music as a kid and in the news item he comes across as a real nice guy.

    Good luck to him.

    I saw that to.
Not recorded anything for nearly 50 years.
    Sheffield eh?
Next decade they might get mods and rockers.

saw him back in the 1960,s along with jerry lee lewis, jerry bought the roof down. police wanted to close the show if people did not stop dancing in the isles. he told them to leave or there would be a fucking riot,
    so they did,
as for duane, he stood like a statue while he played, young country boy, bit out of his depth i think,
i even named my son after him (middle name) but he loves the name,he allso plays the base guitar in a number of bands,
i had all of eddy,s albums, sold the lot when i moved to thailand,
he must be in his late 60,s now, great to hear he is still arround.
life is what happens to us while we are making other plans

Understandable that he loves the name. R2 Duane Pet has a certain ring to it.
