Thai girl aiming for the crown
It’s been a long time coming, but this year a Thai woman will finally be allowed to compete for the Miss Bikini International Crown.
20 stunning contestants were eventually whittled down to the beautiful Phatvarhameorne (Pee) Singssomboon at the finals of the beauty pageant held at the Millennium Hotel in Bangkok on 27 May.
The 22 year old will go up against more than 85 competitors from around the world at the Miss Bikini International 2011 contest in China held from 18 June – 16 July.
Best of luck Khun Pee. Bring it home for Thailand!
Khun Pee gave an exclusive interview to the Post and here is what she had to say:
"I’m 22 years old and from Bangkok. I’m studying Entertainment Media at Mahidol University International College. I do have a special man in my life, I love him the most and no matter what I will always love him, he is my Dad.
To be a good boyfriend and ultimately be a good Dad, a man has to have a good job. It is simple as it sounds, I still believe that men have to be the leader in the family and that means they have to take care of everyone in the family. If they have a good job they can support their family well.
After they announced that I was the winner I was so shocked and confused and didn't believe that I had won. It's a great honour to be chosen as the first Thai contestant for the Miss Bikini International Crown competition.
