Military units cannot function if individuals decide to follow an agenda aligned with a cause, be it political, religious or whatever. So now the Army must deal with how to resolve the trust issue when they have Muslims integrated in units with non Muslims engaged in fighting Muslims.

Not the first time the Army has had to deal with similar problems. Examples; Japanese Americans serving during WW2 and racial conflict in the military in the 1960s when race riots in the US were the norm.

DoD will likely come up with cultural awareness cross training programs and the like to attempt to instill "trust" amongst the troops. Other than this, doubt DoD will do much more because the issue is not as severe as the "media" would have us believe.
