Beano Sighted At Chiang Mai Chippy (Photo Included).

Begbie, Dasnan et al missed their chance today when Beano was sighted at Rimping/Airport in Chiang Mai. He'd heard good and bad things about the Chili Belle Cafe and decided to sample the fare for his lunch.

The fish was moist and the batter crisp, the chips first rate... he scoffed one while getting the camera out.
    69 baht. Worth every satang.
And the end of the fight is a tombstone white with the name of the late deceased,
And the epitaph drear: "A Fool lies here who tried to hustle the East.

That sounds extremely cheap for a meal at an airport.

Thought it sounded too good to be true, the words cheap, food, delicious and airport have never been written in a single sentence untill now.

It came with a pot of "ketchup"... see, I speak American!... but I removed it from the basket and used the excellent dark vinegar they provided.

Its probably good value at 69 Bt but most people are going to need 3 servings to get full.
Each of my daughters could demolish that in an instant and then looka round for more.

The keyword here is "lunch". It was an ideal snack size and plus I'm on a diet anyway. About the only thing I would have fancied with it was a slice of bread and butter but I forgot to ask and it would have done me no harm to go with out it.
I'd imagine that a double serve would have done me in my fat and greedy days.

Not so, the Beano Diet is calorie orientated and involves a weekly "treat". I planned to have that, or something like it, that day so breakfast was dry whole meal toast with cheese and fruit, the evening meal was similar, I still stayed under my daily calorie allowance and have lost about 30kg in 6 months.
