I have Carroll as reserve goalie. I've put Benayoun in, not just because I'm a West Ham fan, but because he is a player who scores a lot from midfield, and I reckon he's going to make quite an impact. Not too expensive at 6.5.

    I wonder about Wright-Phillips.
I figure on Lampard, Makelele, Robben and one of either Duff, Cole or W-P for most games as Chelski's midfield.
Squad rotation is a luxury fantasy league managers don't have and they ultimately fuck you over.
Give me the Cahill, Stelios, Okacha types who can score and will play every week!

    Poolcleaners United/ Eric the Red
    Real Richey/ Richey James
    Arthurs Hammers/ Arthur Sixpence
    Bob's Bulldogs/ Bobby Robson
    Marmite's Maulers/ Marmite The Dog
    ThaiLadymen/ Putney Harry's Team
It's not the winning that counts, it's the taking part.

    Ant Raiders are in.

Lampard, Terry and Wright Phillips are the Chelski in the team. Still toying with the midfield.

May invest in another midfielder instead of WP as Chelsea have so many midfielders to choose from I don't think he'll play every game.

Just checked the website and it's all very tight in the Teak Door Fantasy League!

Bob's Bulldogs managed by Bobby Robson are the early leaders with 138 pts, 12 points clear of 2nd place, with a mere 9 points currently separating 2nd from 2nd bottom (Or 6th).

Real Richey have just made three transfers after realising that Francis Jeffer's is not going to be this years Andy Johnson like dark horse and is in fact just a [at][at][at][at]. Am also hoping that Bobby Zamora's ego can take a spell on the bench.

Just an update of the Fanny league table...

I've decided that anyone who joins in one of these competitions and stays the course deserves a 'special' night in Soi Cowboy as a reward.

I've been fighting deserately for the last few weeks to keep my nose in front of two guys that haven't actually played since October!

Pretty sad where a team picked 4 months back outperforms me...

Sorry...was actually referring to the ajarn league! I was looking at poolie and others positions on that one when I made my post.

Forgot where I was for a moment!

    My mistake. Mea culpa.

Hmmm.. Looks like everyones kind of lost interest in the Teak Door fantasy league as nobody's made a post here since february but as it looks like I've finished the season on top I'm afraid I just had to bump it back up again.

Am well impressed with how much busier things have got here at Teak Door since I last posted way back when I thought Arsenal would win the premiership. Hopefully next season the league will be a whole load bigger and I'll probably be trying far too hard to battle mid-table against a load of people I don't know.

I'm pleased that I managed to get through the season being able to check the team each week even though I got caught out with a few injuries and having my captain spend most of the last 15 games on the bench.

Stiil can't pick the right players to grind out the average of about 52 points a week to challenge the top ten.

Fuck knows how those guys who average 80+ do it!!

Great season all the same and also in the tipping comp where I think we managed to have 4 of us go the whole season.

    Congrats to the winners
