» Need English-speaking PC fix-it Person
Sep 03, 2010 - 8:26 AM - by lometogo
I"ve installed a new program which must access a web-based database and it's not able to do so. The vendor's helpdesk said it's probably either a firewall (ruled out) or my ISP is running a proxy server (is this likely in Thailand?).

Bottom line, I need a pro who can troubleshoot this for me. If I don't get to the database, I stand to lose untold trillions of income!

thanks,
TC

» Building our dream in Chiang Mai, Doi Saket
Sep 02, 2010 - 8:25 PM - by CNXDoiSaket
Since I am new here a big "Hello" to everybody! I have enjoyed the building threads here very much so I decided to start my own. After we bought our first house here in an estate and have enjoyed it for almost 10 years now it was time to built our dream home on a plot of land we purchased about 3 years ago.

The land was a fruit orchard and we had to level it and fill it in to street level. The first minor mistake happened when we filled the part where we were planning the house later-at the same time.
2 1/2 years past and the land had plenty of time to settle - the time was used to save up the funds for the building.
First setback was "the... [Read More]

» Question lodging in Hua Hin for Thai Government Employees
Sep 02, 2010 - 3:14 AM - by Jimbo64
I plan on visiting Hua Hin later in September as I have a Thai friend I am visiting. Anyway my friend is a government employee and asked me if I wanted to stay at a Hotel operated by the Thai Army for government employees.
Connection was really bad when she was describing hotel. So my question is does anyone know where this hotel is located. I know it is on the beach but that is about all. I would imagine there is only one Hotel fitting that description in Hua Hin so Im sure one of you locals knows about it... Any help appreciated.

» Vinyl/Plastic Dye .. where to get it?
Sep 01, 2010 - 12:07 PM - by keekwai
I want to "dye" some plastics on my bike.I found this stuff on the net.

It "soaks into" the plastic. Google it and you will see people using it for everything from computer plastics, model car plastics to plastic bumpers and motorcycle plastics.

Now the BIG question. Where do you get this stuff in Thailand?
