I finished work on Friday and made haste to the public house where I militantly dispatched five pints of traditional English ale and feasted, with wild abandon, on one 'grab bag' of Walkers salt and vinegar ridges, a packet of bacon fries - the finest crisp in the history of maize-based snack-treats - and a pickled egg. I then went on to lose 2-3 at pool - the pockets in this country are far too small to gain enough purchase on the cue ball for pin-point positional accuracy, unlike the... [Read More]

If you are traveling to Vietnam, you will have the opportunity to enjoy Pho Hanoi. Pho is the 5th best food in the world ranked by Guardian, 2009.
Hanoi's cuisine is famous nationwide with many specialties, but the most well known dish is Pho, a rice noodle soup often eaten as breakfast meal at home, food stalls, roadside inns, or in the restaurants.
The soup includes rice noodles, thinly sliced meat and clear broth made by simmering beef bones, oxtails, flank... [Read More]

On Sunday, we went to the American Speedfest at Brands Hatch in Kent. It was an American themed race day come car show, with the highlight being 2 races from the Euro Racecar NASCAR series. The weather as usual did its best to ruin the day, but no rain so can't complain. Here are some photos.

Upon breaching the supermarket's threshold my initial thoughts were that I'd inadvertently meandered into a halfway home for autistic offenders. Each and every employee appeared to be stricken with an ailment which rendered them socially awkward - which isn't particularly conducive when wanting to locate a jar of free-range foie gras or 200 grams of Pont L'eveque. Such inquiries, I feared, would lead to the friendly Morrison's assistant collapsing in a befuddled heap on the shop-floor, or... [Read More]

Jun 06, 2013 - 9:28 PM - by somtamslap |
These so-called summer months in the U.K are becoming rather tiresome. Firstly, the sun, after having seemingly been under lock and key for first 5 months of the year, is a little bit too enthusiastic for my liking.
Come 4.30 am it rides above the horizon before unscrupulously dumping itself right outside my bedroom window, staring at me like a motorway maintenance thug in a high visibility vest. Unfortunately the sun isn't a motorway maintenance thug in a high visibility vest, so I... [Read More]

Hello,
I have two cats that's in need of a good home and loving family. I'm moving to another country and unfortunately wont be able to take them with me.
They are both female cats. One is a 4 year old grey American short hair. Another one is a 3 and a half years old Maine Coon (Blue Silver Classic Tabby and White).
Preferably both of them will be adopted by the same family but if you only wish to take one of them, it's understandable. I just want them to... [Read More]

I left London in good weather on a southern railway train bound for Brighton. The journey was largely unremarkable save for a monstrous pair of breasts which bounced their way on to the carriage in East Croydon and alighted in Haywards Heath. Fleeting glimpses of the lesser-spotted Great British sunshine tend to throw the population into a panicked frenzy:
'Look, Fred! It's the fucking sun! I must, AND SHALL, expose great wads of flesh!'
This is fine when you're a... [Read More]

Just as a matter of interest, In a relatively small southern China city.
Yestrday I took my camera for a walk to the mall, it's about 12-15 minutes walk, and took a few along the way before the battery died.
In this mall there is, among others, Mcds and KFC of course, also starbucks, subway, pizza hut and a carrefour for all kinds of imported goodies., which isn't bad for a small city in China.
I'll add more as I get around.
Finally got the TD gallery sussed, thanks... [Read More]
